Review of 'Five Years and Counting' by Kira Stann

August 22, 2010
Hello everyone,

I hope that this message will find you well.

This morning, I woke up to find an amazing review written by Kira Stann, a lady that I had met during one of my online readings last month. Here is an extract below.

"Author Cendrine Marrouat is a woman of many talents. She is a poet, published author, Spoken Word Artist, Freelance Writer, Blogger, Translator and photographer.  She has a passionate incentive to inspire others, and shares freely her time and talents to help others achieve a higher level of understanding of their own spirituality and life’s tribulations.

‘Five Years and Counting, A Journey into the Mind of Soul Poetry’ by Cendrine Marrouat is a unique poetry book in that every poem is a step in a journey to spiritual enlightenment and reader self-acknowledgement. It deals with every aspect of life from times of loss and doubt, to times of exultation. Several poem styles are featured such as Haiku and Cinquains that provide a nice change of pace for the reader. Thought provoking and empowering, the poems segue seamlessly from one section to the next."

A new review for "Short Poetry for Those Who Fear Death"

July 14, 2010
Hello everyone,

I hope that this message will find you well.

Today, I received a review for my book titled "Short Poetry for Those Who Fear Death." I want to share it with you.

"It is rare for me to find writing these days that brings out visceral emotion. I've had the pleasure to read the Poetic work of Cendrine Marrouat entitled "Short Poetry for Those Who Fear Death." It is a sign that a poet is doing what they are supposed to when reading the poetry unlocks a torrent of emotion that you have either been unaware of or had locked away in some deep, private space. Reading this collection of poems, I had to pause at times and catch my breath as the words stirred so much within me. Poetry that makes you think and makes you feel and re-feel is a rarity in today's literary world. What sets Cendrine apart from many modern day poets and writers is her ability to use her words to pull from the reader's soul, heart and gut a gamut of emotion. I enjoyed my read of this collection, but more than that I was moved deep inside to think, to act and I felt!"  Natalie Brown (Toronto, Ontario | Musician)

As a huge fan of Natalie Brown's work, I am honored and blessed by this review.
